30 Stars You Forgot Appeared On The X-Files

3. Danny Trejo

Machete don't text, but he does appear in The X-Files in the same episode as Morton, Redrum. Trejo is the antagonist of the episode, Cesar Ocumpo, a menacing figure whose motives you don't fully understand until late in the game. Once they are revealed, the episode suddenly has a very different feeling to it: Ocumpo's brother was sent to jail by Joe Morton's prosecutor character, Martin Wells, despite Wells having exonerating evidence. Due to Wells suppressing that evidence, the brother was handed a sentence he couldn't handle, and hung himself, leading to Ocumpo taking revenge by killing Wells' wife and setting him up for it. Though he has just one notable chunk of dialog in the episode, Trejo makes the most of it, going beyond just being Danny Trejo and adding some weight to the character, who, it turns out, has a pretty solid understanding of the law, though he's not against taking it into his own hands.
