Burt Reynolds snagged one of the best guest starring roles on The X-Files that the show ever saw - and sadly, he has since claimed that he doesn't even remember appearing on the series. The reason? Alcohol, maybe. According to comments the actor made at the Wizard World Comic Con in Chicago in 2015, "I don't know whether it was a time when I was imbibing and something, but I don't remember it." Improbable, in season nine of the series, is a criminally underrated episode that is light, fun, and rather quirky. It follows the actions of a killer whose murders seem at first to be random, but may be linked to numerology. Starring Reynolds as God, playing a trickster reminiscent of George Burns from the Oh God movies, it's an absolute blast on repeat viewings, so it's doubly a shame that Reynolds doesn't recall his work on the show. That said, he has stated he'd be happy to return to the series for a second outing - if the producers remember him. Which of these guest stars was your favourite? Any we've missed?
