It seems a long time since Marvel announced that they were making four shows for Netflix including Daredevil, under the stewardship of Drew Goddard and in the near two years since that unveiling, the information released has been slim at best. So far, all we know is that Charlie Cox, formerly of Stardust and Boardwalk Empire, has signed on to play The Man With No Fear, that the show will be set in modern day New York and that it will eventually lead to a Defenders miniseries. The Selling Point: The character has been enduringly popular enough on the page to guarantee an audience, and the binge-watching format is the perfect way to sell a character who has been abused in the past. The Concerns: Cox wouldn't have been many people's choice for the lead character by any means, so he's got some work to do to convince us all he's the right man.
