And thanks to the success of Arrow, the next new character in the DC stable will be an expansion of a world that fans have already become familiar with. Having seen plans for a backdoor pilot in Arrow abandoned to give Barry Allen a more prestigious origin story after his initial first two appearances on the show, fans saw the show optioned from pilot at the start of May.
