35 Moments That Blew Attack On Titan Fan's Minds

7. The Battle of The Ackermans

If there was one major criticism of the second season of Attack on Titan, it's that the art style wasn't exactly the greatest, especially after such a long wait for the show to return. It seems like Wit Studio heard AoT fan's discontent and dramatically improved the art for the third season.

One of the best examples of Wit Studio smashing the art in the third season is the dramatic battle between Levi and his uncle, Kenny Ackerman. Watching Levi as he tries to escape Kenny's squad is one of the most breathtaking action scenes in the entire show's run - and there's A LOT of action scenes in this show.

Although the art is clearly the most impressive part of this scene, there should be some special credit given towards the writing as well. Usually the Survey Corps are battling Titans to preserve human life, so changing the scenario and forcing them to take the life of other humans was clearly a giant emotional jump for them as characters.
