While the Gerhardts are otherwise occupied with either trying to rescue Charlie from the state police lock-up or hunt down and kill Ed Blumquist, Mike Milligan has a plan of his own. Simone Gerhardt might have had good reason to betray her family but the plan backfires horribly. After tipping off Mike as to Dodd's whereabouts, Milligan turns his forces towards the Gerhardt family home. The huge grin plastered all over his face as he shoots up the homestead speaks volumes.
