Simone Gerhardt (Rachel Keller) was a slightly controversial character earlier in the season, with some fans calling her the weakest link in an otherwise solid ensemble. By the time Simone realises the huge mistake she made betraying her family it's too late, as Bear drives her out to a secluded spot and leads her into the woods (the shades of Miller's Crossing are obvious). Her final speech is a fitting end to her character arc and we see her as a victim of her family's lawlessness in full.
