If any single character is to blame for the entire mess which plays out in season 2, it's Skip, the typewriter salesman who requests Rye to put some pressure on the judge. Naturally, Skip gets his just desserts in the end - saddled with gambling debts to the Gernardts, Dodd Gerhardt (Jeffrey Donovan) and his enforcer Hanzee Dent (Zahn McClarnon) track him down and question him regarding the whereabouts of Rye. Once the questions have been asked they promptly bury him alive in hot asphalt.
