4 Canceled TV Series With Decent Finales

2. Better Off Ted (2008-2009)

Better Off Ted Better Off Ted was one of the funniest sitcoms I've seen ever. With a second season they shouldn't have gotten (hell, they shouldn't have finished their first, ratings wise) and 26 total episodes of comedic genius, this is a show I'd really recommend. It's on Netflix Streaming in it's entirety and you can even buy all the episodes on iTunes or Amazon. Better Off Ted followed Ted Crisp, the head of a research and development team at the clearly, truly evil company Veridian Dynamics. He has to fend off his boss (Portia De Rossi's best role ever. Watch it, then come disagree with me), listen to his 8 year old daughter Rose who's morally smarter than everyone he works with and hit on his co-worker Linda all while dealing with the fallout his team keeps bringing to light due to the things they're being forced to work on. As far as absurdist comedies go, this is what I consider to be Americas "Spaced". It's truly unique, truly stands out and is hands down hysterical. The final episode really does work but on a level that is much bigger than these other shows because Better Off Ted may have had a few tiny running plotlines but it was certainly the least serialized of all the shows on this list, granting it the power to be able to have ANY episode be it's finale and have it really not be damaged by that fact. Because of the relationship between he and Linda was the major plotline in the series really, the finale really does give you what we all wanted, and it's satisfying. The only thing wrong with Better Off Ted is that there isn't any more to watch.
