49 Awesome Moments From Doctor Who

Doctor Who came into being on 23rd November,1963, and since then it has been a part of people's lives in one form or another for over 50 years. Even after the TV show was cancelled in 1989, fans turned to books, comics and audio adventures to get their timey-wimey fix. When it was announced in the early 2000s that the show would be making its long overdue comeback to the television, and that it would keep the pre-established continuity from the previous show, as well as the ill-fated 1996 TV movie, as canon, fans were overjoyed. During these 50 years, fans have been introduced to 14 different actors playing 13 individual versions of the rebel Time Lord simply known as "the Doctor" (both William Hartnell and Richard Hurndall portrayed the First Doctor, the latter after Mr. Hartnell's passing). With so many different individuals playing the same role, there have been numerous moments that have gone down in Who history, whether they're great lines, touching moments or just entirely excellent episodes in general. While it was hard to pick, here are 49 awesome moments from Doctor Who history. Each Doctor will have at least one moment, as each incarnation played an integral part in making Doctor Who the international phenomenon it is today.
