49 Awesome Moments From Doctor Who

26. Homage Via Costumes

When the Seventh Doctor was changing out of his previous incarnations outfit, he tried on many different outfits of his own, to include a Napoleonic outfit, as well as versions of the Third, Fourth and Fifth Doctor attires before finally displaying his choice and revealing it from under a fur jacket worn most commonly by the Second Doctor. Many regeneration episodes find a way to pay homage to those that came before it, and this one was no different. It was also quite comical to see the diminutive McCoy (5'6") step into those other costumes, as Baker, Pertwee and Davison were 6'3", 6'2" and 6'1", respectively.
