3. Firefly
Oh Firefly how I love thee. I know what you Browncoats are thinking. "Our beloved show has not yet been brought back to life, you're such a liar." As I said in the intro, one show was not resurrected in its original form. However, the firefly class ship Serenity was able to soar again, thanks to the wonderful world of Hollywood. Creator Joss Whedon was allowed to bring back his beloved space western in film form, much to the delight of this Firefly fan. Was I hoping the movie would destroy box office records so that Fox would resurrect my beloved Firefly to television? Of course I was, and any fan who says otherwise is LYING. Every fan wants the show to return because it is amazing. The term space western turns off so many people, and those are the people who have not seen the show. The characters are fascinating (and well acted to boot), the storylines are engaging, and there is just a certain charm to the show and its atmosphere. Whedon is a masterful storyteller, and I still believe the last few episodes of Firefly are some of his best work. I will continue to hold out hope that eventually the show will see life again. After all, it's happening for our next entrant.
