5 Characters That Prove Game Of Thrones Is A Feminist Show

4. Ned Stark (and his sons)

Ned Since I (a man) am writing this article, I clearly believe that men can be feminists. Feminism should be inclusive of both sexes if it is to be successful. Ned makes this list by virtue of being the only major character to have any real respect for women and he has instilled this virtue in his sons. Despite an early indiscretion, Ned has remained staunchly faithful to his wife, Catelyn Stark. His sons have acted in similar ways. Robb was married early to Talisa and remained faithful to her and whilst Jon Snow's actions were a little questionable, it was never suggested that he did not have respect for Ygritte. It's perhaps a little too early for Bran to be interested in women so we can leave him out for now. In the world of Game of Thrones it's all too easy to forget that men can be faithful to wives. What with the amount of prostitutes and all the bastard sons and daughters running around. The Stark men offer a welcome reminder that men can be honourable towards women.
