Based off the light-novel series by Yuu Kamiya, and taking place in a world ruled by the god of games, No Game No Life brings forth a whimsical, entertaining, and brilliantly written story.

Dropped into a world ruled and governed by the outcome of various games, brilliant shut-in siblings, Sora and Shiro must find a way to survive in the land of Disboard. After defeating Tet, the god of games, at a game of chess, the two are summoned to Disboard and issued a challenge—conquer the sixteen species’ of Disboard and challenge Tet to one more game.

Using their intellect, and their partnership as the undefeatable gaming team known only as “Blank”, Sora and Shiro quickly climb the social ladder, meet new companions, and embark on a bold conquest. The writing is brilliant and fresh, offering a fully fleshed-out world with interesting lore, gods, and species’. The characters are all incredibly loveable and goofy, and the story is exciting without ever feeling too serious.

Additionally, The OVA: No Game No Life Zero brings to life the history of Tet and Disboard. It is a fun romp that will have you wanting more.
