New Girl was a breed of its own when it comes to recent sitcoms, its unique brand of humour could only be explained with one word - chaotic. The show revolved around Jess, a quirky young teacher played endearingly by Zooey Deschanel and her relationships with the men she shares her apartment with. The show was wacky in the best kind of way, with the characters repeatedly getting into crazy shenanigans.

At one point there were five people living in the apartment at the same time and it went about as well as you'd think. The characters' signature frantic banter constantly led to situations where the residents of apartment 4D screamed at each other incoherently.

That was the premise for the cold open for the famous Prince-centric episode of New Girl.

Schmidt, Nick and Coach are sat on the sofa watching a game when Winston comes into the room holding a basket of laundry. Winston proceeds to ask Nick an... odd question. Winston asks Nick if he can move Jess' panties from the dryer. Turns out that now Nick and Jess are dating, Winston feels uncomfortable moving the said panties from said dryer. The men proceed to get in an argument about why it would be weird to do so, and in true New Girl spirit the topic escalates to the pronunciation of the word "pantie".

The men decide that the best idea is for them to work together to fetch the panties with a stick (an obvious 4 man job) and it's only when Jess comes in screaming about the fact that she's going to a party at PRINCE'S HOUSE that we find out the panties aren't even hers.

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
