5 Incredible Animes That Deserve A Live-Action Remake
4. Gangsta
Gangsta has become a bit of a cult classic among anime fans over the years. Although it was short-lived and cancelled after one season, it's still considered to be a pretty good show that surprised a lot of people with how deep and personal it got at times.
On the surface, it's a show about two assassins, one an eye-patch wearing gigolo called Worick and his partner Nicolas, who do jobs working for the mob and the police force, along with occasionally helping out the citizens of their town. It could've easily been a run of the mill, vigilante-esque duo crime show, but the further you get into the mythology of the show you realise it's a lot more than that.
While the anime didn't quite make the mark it was supposed too, turning into TV show might see a much stronger reaction from audiences. Audiences love a gritty, dramatic crime show that has plenty of twists and turns around it and this fits the bills perfectly.
The action is exceptionally violent, akin to something like John Wick or The Raid. Following a similar brutal visual style would create the type of action show that we haven't seen on TV just yet. It would also be a great opportunity to give two disabled actors an opportunity at working on TV, especially on a show as gritty and dramatic as this could be.
