5 Most Unlikeable Lead Characters In A Sitcom

3. Rachel Berry (Glee)

1263179021 Oh Rachel. She€™s funny, don€™t get me wrong. Every trait about her that makes her unlikeable also makes her hilarious. But in turn, she can also be one of the most annoying characters ever. The show is aware of this, poking fun at her and her obsession with stardom. Even season four€™s premiere episode was named €œThe New Rachel€. She is the star, but boy does she know it. There was an episode in the second season entitled €œNight Of Neglect€ and Rachel decided to overrun the whole thing, demand she close the show and sing €˜My Heart Will Go On€™. She€™s so unbelievably self-involved that she thinks she€™s being neglected, despite being handed solos left, right and centre. What else has Rachel done? She temporarily quit Glee club because she wanted to be given special treatment; tried to force the loss of her virginity for the sake of 'getting into character' for a school musical; played three guys off against each other so she could be perceived as a bad girl; lead Charice to a crack house because she was jealous of her talent; ran against her bezzie mate Kurt for student president out of fear that she€™d lose a sing off to Mercedes, and so on. In the first season she is unanimously hated, and for good reason. As the show progresses, she becomes more likeable to not only the characters in the show, but the audience as well. But you still get a hint of the selfish, drama queen every now and then.
