Doctor Who has been enthralling sci-fi fans for more than 50 years with episodes taking place throughout the history of time and space. The Doctor€™s most-feared enemy, the Daleks, have appeared in such varied terrains as Manhattan during the 1930s, Canary Wharf in 2006, the Wild West, as well as a whole host of far-flung galaxies and spacecraft €“ most notably during the Time War in which both they and the Time Lords were almost completely wiped out. Yet, despite the huge array of locations, periods in time and different planets that the Doctor has managed successfully to see off a whole host of alien enemies, there remain a myriad of historical events still unexplored by this magnificently-adventurous TV series. The Twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi, will return for the ninth series since the BBC€™s reboot in 2005 with Who fanatics everywhere expecting to be thrilled and surprised by bizarre, far-fetched and fascinating storylines and backdrops.
