5 Predictions For Friends Series 5

2. Love Rivalry Between Ross, Rachel, Emily & Joshua

friends1 In the same vein as the holiday idea, another important consideration shows such as this one should take is for how long the €˜main romance/relationship€™ can be milked before it simply runs dry. Currently, Emily and Ross have just professed their love for one another, despite only knowing each other for two weeks. Meanwhile, Rachel has begun dating one of her clients, Joshua, having worn him down until her agreed to a date. Whilst Rachel indeed seems attracted to Joshua, she is clearly steam-lining their brief romantic interaction in order to €˜best€™ Ross, who is moving his transcontinental relationship with Emily at warped speed. Whilst their separate relationships appear to be a sporting game of one-upmanship between two exes with an unresolved relationship, the budding romance between Ross and Emily seems too mature too early, with a new €˜relationship milestone€™ being achieved nearly every episode. For, example, observe last week€™s episode (The One With the Fake Party) where Rachel threw a €˜fake€™ surprise bon-voyage party for Emily (who was going back to Britain) but only as an excuse to have something to invite Joshua to and be able to see him outside of work. Also, take note that several episodes earlier, Emily was actually introduced as the niece of Rachel€™s boss, who she was meant to entertain for the weekend. However, she roped Ross into doing it for her so she could go to a party that Joshua had invited her too. Subsequently, Rachel was visibly jealous of Ross and Emily's instant connection. Nevertheless, It may be safe to assume that Joshua, and Emily, may well remain on the show into early Season Five, at least, as a way of complicating Ross-Rachel even more.
