5 Reasons Why Family Guy Is In Decline

5. Seth MacFarlane's Too Busy Trying To Crack Hollywood

One of the biggest criticisms the show receives is mostly directed at creator Seth Macfarlane and his obvious lack of care for the show. As the 40-year old is currently making a second career outside of Family Guy, it appears he's just too busy to work more than the minimum amount to do the voices so he can pursue other avenues in the entertainment industry. Rumour has it MacFarlane is working on two projects, a comedy set in the western times, because there haven't been enough of them, and Ted 2, presumably to milk the cash cow. It appears such projects are meaning he's now having zero input on what episodes are made and put out on a regular basis. But of course he takes a tidy sum of money for the work others are doing very poorly of late. How very noble of him. While the standard of work is getting worse by the episode, his writing team really aren't picking up the slack at all, and it's rather worrying what sub-par material they will pass off as a Family Guy episode next.
