Wouldnt we much rather see Stephens Jeeves persona looking after Hugh than taking care of baby Alan Davies? Wouldnt we prefer to see blues journeyman Hugh singing tunes alongside Stephen than a rag-tag bunch of session musicians? We very much would, because weve seen it done before, and done tremendously well. The success they indulge in today would never have happened were it not for their joint productions, and while their shared efforts are slowly starting to come across as museum pieces when compared to what theyve been up to in the immediate past, the fact that this article is being written shows what a lively museum worthy duo they really are.
