Double acts just arent in anymore. Mitchell and Webb are really the only major duo who remains in the public eye, and even then its still fairly sporadic, with Peep Show and Ambassadors being the only major productions they work on as a pair. Armstrong and Miller appear to be doing fine without each other, and the less said about David Walliams and Matt Lucas the better. But rather than despair at the lack of talent on the scene, why not be hopeful that this can be seen as a blank canvas? Of course Stephen and Hugh would be welcome on any canvas, but with proven joint success under their belts, people including this writer wanting it to happen, and the fact that theres barely anyone standing in their way, a reunion would be loved by all.
