5 Reasons Why Avatar: The Last Airbender Is The Best Show Ever

3. It Tackles Real World Issues

Across the three seasons of the show, Avatar: Legend of Aang manages to touch upon several societal issues (yes, this is touching upon the more adult parts). Sexism and female equality is something that crops up regularly. In fact, in the first episode Katara calls out her brother Sokka for his blatant sexism, which is something everyone needs to do!

Death is also a topic that is embedded within the universe of Avatar. Or to word it slightly better, the sanctity of human life. In the final parts of the last season, we get to see Aang come to terms with his fate that he has to stop the Fire Lord via any means necessary, yet he wrestles with the fact that he was taught to never take a life, be that human or otherwise. If everyone could have this mantra the world would be a nicer place, so lets all be more like Aang!
