3. Rekindling Old Romances
My perception of Obi Wan has always been the "poster boy" for the Jedi Order and never steering far from their stern code, until the strings of his past romance with Duchess Satine became more visible. When Obi Wan and Satine first met, he was still under the tutelage of Qui-Gon Jinn. Both Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were sent to protect the Duchess from insurgent group called Death Watch. It was during this period of time, both Obi-Wan and Satine developed feelings for one another, but neither of them spoke of it until the Jedi Knights service were no longer needed. You get a sense that they revert back to their youth when they met again, making it hilarious to watch both of them argue amongst themselves, as it's made clear that the true frustration is how they can't express their love for one another, even Anakin recognized the real fraction between them. Their relationship is a great comparison to Anakin and Padme's, that could lead to an interesting plot twist if done right. In season five we get a clear indicator that Satine is in hazardous situations revolving around the revolution of the Death Watch. Since there is no future stories regarding this character, there's a possibility she may die. Imagine Obi-Wan being given two choices, defending a crucial objective that will save Mandalore, or save the Duchess who has the potential to die. If that were to occur, it could add strong, mature context to Anakin's final decision to betray the Jedi for Padme.
