This show is nicely equal with nudity with red head beauty Jenna Thiam spending a good few episodes topless as well as broody Pierre Perrier going full frontal. Nurse Julie has an ex girlfriend Laure and its spoken about like you would if she had a boyfriend, their lesbianism not treated like a special snowflake story these plots often do. The nudity doesn't seem to have the gratuitous touch shows like True Blood has, Lenas romance with Camilles childhood sweetheart leads to her twins jealousy and the creation of Alice a cousin Camille pretends to be and Simon's nudity realistic of the events. If the walking dead isnt enough horror the village also has to deal with a grisly murderer who eats his victims inner organs. There is some lovely close ups of flesh wounds, so of which are being eaten by cats. Victor is perfectly cast as this deathly pale child who appears on road sides and through windows like an omen child, he also casually throws himself out of windows, a word not spoken for half of the series. This may not be Saw but it has some similarity to Let The Right One In. If youre looking for heads flying off and gun fights like The Walking Dead this might not be for you but if you want the slow chills an atmospheric Twin Peaks style horror or the stylistic gore of Hannibal you will love this.
