5 Reasons You Should Watch Mythic Quest

2. The Performances

As the show progresses, the characters don't remain one dimensional and crass, but take on a life of their own and become fully rounded people.

Sure, they still make inappropriate jokes about almost everything and comedically miss the point and context of some situations, but this is what shows like this were built on. What separates this one from the rest though, is that they have lives that matter. They don't exist just in front of you, you feel like there is such a wealth of history and experience to them that they are trying to express.

Singling out F. Murray Abraham's off the wall turn as C.W. Longbottom as the best doesn't mean that any of the rest of them pale in comparison.

Rob McElhenney's nutter of a creator, Ian Grimm, displays moments of shocking self-interest but also moments of real humility and kindness. Charlotte Nicdao's Poppy Li, the chief engineer, is not a caricature that many would peg her for in Episode 1; her point and perspective is almost the most resonating in the whole show.

When a show's lead cast bring their A game to the set, the supporting cast usually follow suit, and that is exactly the case here in Mythic Quest. With our testers, Dana and Rachel becoming the 'will they won't they pair', alongside stressed out producer, David Brittlesbee, and the money-mad miserly Brad Bakshi, MQ has a well balanced and dedicated cast.
