5 Saddest Rick And Morty Deaths

'Mortynight Run' is a non-stop death fest.

The central plot of the episode revolves around Morty attempting to save the life of a gaseous, telepathic life-form, who adopts the name Fart.

Fart is being held captive by the Galactic Federation when we first meet him. Morty frees him before natural born killer Krombopulous Michael can get to him.

We soon discover that the entire federation has come out to recapture fart, due to his incredible ability to reorganise organic matter. "The fart who pooped gold," as Rick so poetically put it.

Morty develops a close bond with Fart, notably through his singing of 'Moon Man'. His friendly demeanour hides a sinister motive, however. When Morty escorts Fart back to the wormhole that will get him home, Fart reveals that there are others like him. Unfortunately, his race view carbon-based life forms as a "disease", and are planning to cleanse the whole universe of them.

Fart turns to go through the wormhole, and with a tear in his eye, Morty shoots him with an anti-matter gun. Fart disintegrates and Morty is once again left with no one but Rick.
