5 Science Fiction Television Shows That Deserve A Reboot

4. Lost In Space

lost-in-space-13 Completely ignoring the terrible 1998 feature film, the television series that ran from 1965-1968 was a whole lot of fun, and this is what the reboot should obviously be based on. In 2003 the WB network commissioned, and then turned down, a pilot episode directed by John Woo, but ten year€™s distance means that€™s not an issue in my book. The Robinsons were would be colonizers, fleeing an overpopulated Earth in hopes of reaching a planet circling Alpha Centauri. Unfortunately, due to meddling by Dr. Zachary Smith, the ship was damaged, and crashed on an alien world. I love the idea of taking familiar stories and giving them a different setting, and making The Swiss Family Robinson in space was a brilliant idea for the time. It could still be a brilliant idea, if done the right way. Get rid of the comedic elements, or at least tone them down, keep Dr. Smith as more of an antagonist instead of the gutless foil he eventually became, and make sure they don€™t crash land so they are truly €œlost in space€. Now then, let€™s meet€
