the-tomorrow-people-the-complete-collection-19731979-0f2e While, admittedly, I have not seen much of this series, I€™ve liked what I€™ve seen. The concept is one that is familiar, and is also popular in this renewed age of superhero movies. The Tomorrow People was a children€™s show that originally aired from 1973-1979, with a new series beginning in 1992. Big Finish productions also ran an audio only series from 2001-2007. All of this shows that the concept has legs, and the studios would be smart to run with it. The concept is a simple and recognizable one. A child begins to exhibit psionic powers during adolescence, becoming the next step in human evolution, the Homo Superior, or Tomorrow People. I know this idea has been done to death in recent years with the X-Men film franchise, but the world is full of ideas that on the surface seem so similar, yet are done in a way that sets them apart from the pack. With the right show runner, writers, cast and crew, this could be the best kids show in recent years. Get Russell T. Davies on the phone, ASAP! The man has proven he can produce quality family entertainment with Doctor Who, The Sarah Jane Adventures, and more recently Wizards vs. Aliens. On to a slightly more adult series, then€

Carl has been a comic shop impresario, comic book illustrator, record store clerk, electronic musician, late night radio DJ, club promoter, graphic designer, and other cool things you wish you could be. He mistakenly had purple dreadlocks once. For three years. Which made him way less cool. He doesn't actually know what the word impresario means, and is way too lazy to Google it. Carl is also an American, and for that he apologizes.
