5 SNL Characters That Deserved Their Own Movie

1. Celebrity Jeopardy (Will Ferrell and Darrell Hammond)

fddd This one isn't so much original characters, but rather fictionalized versions of real people, so close enough. One of the most famous SNL skits from the past 15 years, this recurring sketch presented Will Ferrell as Alex Trebek, tasked with the dubious honor of hosting Celebrity Jeopardy, which would also feature Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery, along with that episode's guest host and another cast member as other celebrity guests. Inexplicably, Sean Connery always won, despite doing nothing but antagonizing Trebek throughout the entire game. What could they do for a film version? Easy. Do it as a Slumdog Millionaire parody. Don't change the characterization of Trebek and Connery (don't mess with perfection), just work them into the existing movie's plot. It. Would. Be. Awesome. What do you think? Do these film adaptions sound like terrible ideas? Is there a good recurring character we've missed? Sound off in the comments below.
