Who remembers Stargate Atlantis? The first spin off series from the successful 10 season Stargate SG-1, itself a spin-off the blockbuster movie Stargate. The series centred around a group of scientists and soldiers who journey through the stargate to a completely new galaxy and set up shop in the lost city of Atlantis, hoping to study its numerous but often hazardous technology, whilst fighting off the human hungry Wraith. The series ran for five seasons, ending in 2005, and featured several sci-fi actors in the main cast, including Cube's David Hewlett, Firefly's Jewel Staite and Jason Momoa, who later for portrayed Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones. Well Stargate Atlantis fans, it may be almost ten years since it went off air, but this December you can enjoy seeing some of the actors who played your favourite SGA characters in, yes, Christmas movies! We've selected five television Christmas movies, each featuring cast members from Stargate Atlantis, either as main protagonists or antagonists. A couple of the films star actors who only appeared in one or two episodes, but generally these feature actors from the main line-up - with Michael Shanks as somewhat of an exception, as though he only appeared in few episodes of SGA, he was a main character on Stargate SG-1. So, snuggle down with some hot chocolate and up-shield the stargate, as we see some of our favourite Atlantis actors in the seasonal spirit...
