5 Timey Wimey Clues To Where Ruth Fits In Doctor Who Canon

3. The Look Of Ruth's Tardis

Many clues about which era The Doctor is from can be gleaned from the look of her Tardis. The ship is often remodeled, changing appearance often in line with each new regeneration. The Tardis interior reflects The Doctor's personality and while Ruth's ship seems dark and mysterious there is something strikingly familiar about it.

Ruths' Tardis has the look of classic Doctor Who, calling back the first design of the black-and-white era. This is a clue that she's from far earlier in the Doctor's timeline than most of the audience would expect. While the old-fashioned layout is somewhat covered by a darker lighting scheme, we can clearly see the round things on the wall and that the console looks to be identical to the one last seen in with the First Doctor in Twice Upon A Time. This design was notably altered after the Third Doctor rebuilt the Tardis and has never quite looked the same since.

Ruth isn't just a previously unknown incarnation of The Doctor but is almost certainly one of her first incarnations. She is a brand new classic era Doctor Who and I for one am hoping to see a lot more of her.

Early Ray Mixon hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
