1. Star Trek
The final, and most overdue (in the eyes of ALL Trek fans) show on the list is, of course, Star Trek. We're unfortunately in for a long wait yet while JJ Abrams (and presumably his successor) brings his vision of the franchise to the big screen. Despite many attempts by those involved in previous series to bring it back, theyve quite openly said that there wont be a new (official) TV series until the current movie offerings have run their course. The big question, however, is in which version of Star Trek the new series would be set.
Ideas For A Reboot: Personally Id like to see them bring it back with a series set during the war that causes the end of the Federation, maybe 29th or 30th century (in the same timeline as the 24th Century series TNG/DS9 and Voyager) but would this be realistic after the Abrams series of movies? My biggest fear/prediction with this, if they do bring it back, is that theyll re-cast the actors for Kirk, Spock etc and do a reboot of the Original Series, in which case, phasers set to kill!
