6 Awesome TV Actors Who Failed On The Big Screen

4. Matthew Fox

Awesome In: Lost "Best" Movie: Speed Racer Cinematic Filmography Includes: Vantage Point, Smokin' Aces, We Are Marshall I love Speed Racer. I love everything about it. I love every character, every color, and every over-the-top sequence, but I know it's a shallow, plop-drum of a movie. It's eye cotton candy and I don't take it for anything more; so I excuse the awful writing and the scene repetition. But that's no excuse for Fox, who flexed his acting muscles with Lost, to be stuck in a limbo of awful film after awful film. What seems strange is that he couldn't be a riper, budding action star, but he keeps getting thrown into half-executed ensemble thrill-flicks like Vantage Point and Smokin' Aces. Someone utilize this man properly!

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
