6 Awesome TV Shows That Totally Need Rebooting

2. Werewolf

Now a forgotten treasure, Werewolf was one of the first original shows to air on the brand spanking new Fox Network back in 1987. With creepy atmosphere, great special effects and a dose of contemporary music, Werewolf was practically a primer on how to correctly deliver horror on television. Instead, Fox canceled the show after one season, leaving an unresolved plot line, and the show would slip through the cracks, remembered only by few. What made Werewolf work was that it followed a cardinal rule films like the Twilight series and the current Teen Wolf reboot haven't. Namely, if you€™re a good guy, being a lycanthrope just sucks. Claiming innocent victims every full moon doesn€™t do wonders for one€™s conscience and it also leaves you lacking in the friends department. This is why Werewolf€™s protagonist Eric Cord is on the run, moving from town to town, trying to break his curse and always, reluctantly, saving the day. It was similar to the Incredible Hulk TV show, except in this version Bill Bixby would turn into a giant werewolf instead of Lou Ferrigno. The success of AMC€™s The Walking Dead is an example that TV audiences still love their horror. It€™s also a fine example of what prime time television can get away with these days. A reboot of Werewolf, with the special effects of today, would not be so easily forgotten this time around.
