6 Best Moments From Twin Peaks

We go in-depth on some of the best moments in David Lunch's surreal TV classic.

Noticing a distinct lack of Lynchian content on this most noble of websites that I write for, I've decided to take it upon myself to provide our fair readers with an article-or-two focusing on the art-house/mystery film director extraordinaire, David Lynch. Known for some of the most surreal writing and imagery in Hollywood, the man has brought us some fantastic films in the past few decades, including Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, and Eraserhead, along with many others that deal with the themes of dreams and sexuality. However, one of his most famous work, one that, unfortunately, has fallen into obscurity in the past two decades, was the seminal crime-melodrama television series, Twin Peaks. Ah yes, it's all coming back to me now. For those of you who haven't heard of the most influential series on TV (inspiring the likes of Fringe, Medium, and Bones), the story goes like this: when the homecoming queen, Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), is killed in the small-town of Twin Peaks, it'll take the combined efforts of the local authorities, led by Harry S. Truman (Michael Ontkean) and a quirky FBI agent, Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan), to crack the case. However, they soon find that things in the titular town aren't quite as they seem. Featuring a fantastic cast of memorable characters, a great soundtrack, as well as some of the best surreality that only television could provide, I'll be jotting down some of the best moments found throughout the series. Now, remember, this is a rather tough list to make, as there are many, many awesome scenes littered across the show's two-year run (even when it started sucking!), so I might miss a few great scenes, but to keep this article short (trust me, I could write for days on end), I'll be sticking to another "top 5". Ah, what the hell, let's make it a "top 6", just 'cause. Oh, and SPOILERS!
