6 Best Moments From Twin Peaks

6. "She's Dead..."

Okay, this isn't necessarily a moment in the series that I typically look back on and say, "wow, that was fantastic", which, to any of you quick-thinkers out there, is rather obvious, judging by the fact that it's received the lowest spot on the list. To be frank, I'm not particularly enamoured with the pilot episode as a whole. While I got great enjoyment from watching MacLachlan's Dale Cooper act like a total nut case, I didn't find myself falling in love with it as many others had before my time (yes, I had only watched the show recently). Granted, it still caught my interest enough for me to continue watching the series, yet, aside from this fact, why, oh why, does it deserve to be mentioned in this list at all if I didn't even care about it? Well, because it's incredibly memorable. Essentially, while I found the pilot as a whole rather lacking in that enjoyment-factor that I would soon find in later episodes, there are some nice little scenes here and there. One of the most notable was the discovery Laura Palmer's body. Something about it, that image of her corpse, just kind of sends chills down my spine. Whether you found the rest of the scene, which followed the police looking over the "innocent" girl's body, wrapped in plastic by the water, saddening, or hilarious (depending on how you felt about the melodramatic reactions made by those present at the scene), it's still managed to spark that interest, the mystery, within the viewership, that it's placement on this list is practically obligatory, as it's where the whole of "Twin Peaks Madness" (yup, that was actually a thing) all began.
