1. Barry Dylan
Best Quote: It wasn't a conversation, Lana. I was just talking to my gun, not with it. Pretty big difference. Barry Dylan is without a doubt one of the most entertaining villains ever created for a television series. It is implied pretty early on that Barry has some psychiatric issues as he often talks to himself in the third person referring to himself as other Barry. When we are first introduced to him he works for ODIN but as the narrative progresses through the seasons he gradually becomes the main antagonist for Sterling Archer. His sheer hatred for Archer is as hilarious as it is warranted and we are able to follow Barry on a personal journey as he seeks revenge. Following his season 3 conversion to a Cyborg, Barry seems to have developed a more focused obsession on getting revenge on Archer for twice dropping him off rooftops and once stealing his girlfriend. Barry is able to retaliate against Archer's infidelity by first murdering, then dating the reanimated cyborg of Archer's fiancée Katya Kassanova. Every episode featuring Barry is guaranteed to be full of laughs and action. When he and Archer come together there is generally a trail of destruction in their wake. Dave Willis provides the voice which is generally very calm and normal but occasionally cracks show through into the troubled psyche. This layered approach to the character is essential as the best villains are ones we can empathize with, no matter how far gone they may be.
