Archer is a triumph of animated comedy due to its tightly crafted narratives and non-stop joke delivery. This is helped out tremendously by a stellar voice cast ranging from the wonderfully sardonic H. Jon Benjamin as Sterling Archer to the always enjoyable Jessica Walters as the head of ISIS and Sterling's mother Malory. Not forgetting Aisha Taylor and Lana and Chris Parnell and Cyril of course. For the uninitiated, Archer takes place in the world of espionage and follows the employees of ISIS (International Secret Intelligence Service) on missions that take them around the world. They rarely go well, but of course it wouldn't be as funny otherwise. This lampooning of the spy and action genres allows for the show to not only be hilarious, but exciting as well. With a main cast as diverse and interesting as they are crazy, it's a wonder that Archer needs to focus on anyone outside of ISIS. This being said, some of the best episodes feature great one-offs and supporting characters who steal the show and keep the laughs coming relentlessly. It took some doing but I've narrowed it down to my six favourite supporting characters, get yourself to the comments to add in anyone you think I should have included.
