6 Crazy Problems Created By Crisis On Infinite Earths

With the three Earths now combined there is the awkward fact that some characters just don't exist anymore. There was an Earth-38 Batman who was mentioned several times as being close with Superman, and either he is now gone from existence or his Earth-1 counterpart is the one who was erased. Whichever way it happened there is a Batman out there who got screwed.

But Batman is not the only one to be winked out of existence. The Earth-1 Alex Danvers who we met in Elseworlds is also gone and presumably millions of random innocent people along with her.

While it might be comforting to think those people got teleported to other realities to balance things out, we only know for sure that the three universes were combined. Everyone in the resurrected multiverse is just as likely to be native to their own universe as not. Which leaves the distinct possibility that those people who vanished are just gone forever.
