1. Wedding Crashers
There was a point in time where we saw a lot of movies coming out of Will Ferrell and company Old School, Anchorman, Dodgeball, Step-Brothers, etc. but one of the best was definitely Wedding Crashers. I dont particularly like Owen Wilson or Vince Vaughn, but somehow, together they make a great team. This film also marked the start of Isla Fishers amazing comedy career (please go watch Bachelorette, right now), and took place somewhere in the middle of Rachel McAdams-mania that took over the early part of the 2000s. The fantastic cast aside, this movie was just as funny as Old School, more realistic than Anchorman, and had a story with some real heart. A TV series based on Wedding Crashers would probably take place before the events of the movie, or maybe in an alternate universe with completely different characters. I can see it as a half-hour comedy on a cable network, maybe with just a limited series run. Each episode would be a different wedding for the crashers to crash, and they obviously run into some wacky obstacles at each of them. Maybe an ex-girlfriend is the bridesmaid, or the DJ wont stop playing Kool and the Gang, or the caterers are trying to poison the guests. Theres always a completely new set of characters at every wedding, so theres an unlimited amount of stories to tell with them all. Weddings are known to get extremely crazy, so crashing a new one every week, we'd never see the same schtick twice!
