1. Joffrey Baratheon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjA4vDBdpcs To every fan, be it of the book series or the TV show, each is united by the desire to have Joffrey's head put on a spike, and hang it outside King's Landing for all to see. Even before he became the King, while young Joffrey was just a Prince, he annoyed every fan of the series, after crying like a child to his mother after he starts a fight and loses it against Arya and her friend, Mycah. As a result of which, the Kingsgaurd hunt down Mycah, and execute Sansa's direwolf Lady, in the place of killing Arya's direwolf Nymeria who had run away after attacking Joffrey. However, this is only the beginning of Joffrey being the most hated character of the show. Joffrey is shown as rude, arrogant and generally disrespectful for no good reason. Joffrey continues down the path of being a complete jerk by reneging on his promise to both his mother and Sansa, by beheading Sansa's father in front of her, then taking her to the city wall showing her not only her fathers head on a spike, but also the head of her Septa, and promising that he'll deliver her brother Robb's head on a spike as well, to which Sansa responds with her best line of "of maybe he'll bring me yours". Joffrey tries to put himself as a powerful and strong leader, but proves time and time again that when the going gets tough, he can't hack it, which is shown when in the midst of battle Joffrey withdraws to the Red Keep in King's Landing away from the fight to be with his mother, leaving Tyrion Lannister to lead the regrouping and fight back the invading forces. A sign of just how unpopular Joffrey is in the show is seen in most people's favorite scene, in which Tyrion Lannister slaps Joffrey clean across the face, provoking cheers from every single person watching. Joffrey has also spawned a range of T-Shirts and memes, including a brilliant one which combines a scene Jack Gleeson had in Batman Begins with a photo of Jack as Joffrey, about how much everyone hates Joffrey. Many fans are hoping (I haven't read all the books so I'm not sure what happens) that Robb delivers on Sansa's promise and Joffrey finds his head on a pike. Did I miss anyone? Disagree with my assessment on any of characters? Let me know what you think in the comments below...
