6 Great Sixth Doctor Audio Stories

1. The Jamie Trilogy (Monthly Range Stories 133, 134, 135)

Probably the most popular old series male companion, aside from the Brigadier, is Jamie McCrimmon. Played ably by Frazer Hines, Jamie was a perfect companion for the Second Doctor, and his relationship with Zoe was a thing of platonic loveliness. Thankfully, as shown in the otherwise mediocre episode, €œThe Two Doctors€, Jamie also works well with the Sixth Doctor. We€™re reminded of that in this series of stories that features the Sixth Doctor meeting Jamie some 30 years after the Time Lords put Jamie back on Earth. The Doctor is confused as to why Jamie doesn€™t remember him or the TARDIS, and these three monthly stories (as well as one optional Companion Chronicle that fits between stories 133 and 134), answer that question in fascinating, heartbreaking detail, with some excellent performances by Baker and Hines, as well as another companion who€well, you€™ll find out who that one is. But I think you€™ll be happy when you do. The audio stories aren€™t for everyone, but as this list illustrates, if you€™re a fan of the old series, these are something great to hear. Do check them out! I think you€™ll be pleased.
