Queenie is the story of how Constantine first met Chas Chandler, the London cabbie who became a staple of the series as Constantines oldest surviving friend (surviving a day with Constantine is considered a long-term companionship). Arriving in London to crash on Chass couch, the young Constantine soon learned of the difficult situation with Chass overbearing mother Queenie. A vindictive and possibly murderous witch, Queenie hounded Chas with the aid of her familiar, an obnoxious primate called Slag. Understanding the relationship between witch and familiar Constantine knew that if he could kill Slag, Queenie would die soon after, the only hitch was that to get close to Slag hed have to seduce her. John proceeded to spend the following weeks charming, complimenting and presenting gifts to a monkey all while Chas thought that his new friend had lost the plot. Eventually though he earned Slags trust and drowned her in a river, Queenie passed away and Constantine gained license to bum lifts from Chas till the end of eternity. Even though Chas is confirmed to be a character in the series dont think I need to say more as to why we wont be seeing this in the series.
