1. Jeremy Renner (Penn)
Episode: "Somnambulist". Famous For: The Avengers; The Bourne Legacy; 28 Weeks Later; Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol etc. Renner appeared in the eleventh episode of the first season of Angel as the vampire known as Penn. Penn was sired by Angelus in 1786 and, in later centuries, a serial killer nicknamed "The Pope" by the Los Angeles press. When Penn last returned to the city, he was discovered by Angel, who sensed his presence through an old psychic link he shared with the vampires he had created. Initially, when Penn started killing in Los Angeles, Angel assumed that he was committing the murders himself in his sleep, but after Cordelia and Wesley chained him to his bed the night before another murder, they determined that it wasn't him. Tracking Penn, Angel confronted him in front of his detective ally Kate Lockley, revealing his vampire nature to her for the first time, only for Penn to escape. Eventually discovering Penn again after the vicious vampire had faked evidence to suggest that he was going to kill a school bus full of children, Angel and Penn fought until Kate staked Penn through Angel, impaling Angel through the stomach with a broken board while Penn was on his back. When Angel pointed out Kate missed his heart while killing Penn, she replied that she did so on purpose. So there you have it - six Hollywood stars who appeared in the Buffyverse briefly.
