6 Major Daredevil And Jessica Jones Reveals From New York Comic Con

6. A First Look At Daredevil Season Two

Netflix's original plan was to release a single season of each of these Marvel TV shows before launching The Defenders, but the success of Daredevil made it clear that fans weren't willing to wait another two of three years before seeing the Man Without Fear again. That's why season two will debut early next year on the online streaming service ahead of Luke Cage. A first look at what's to come next in the life of Matt Murdock was shown off at the New York Comic Con, and while it was only a very brief tease at the end of a season one sizzle reel, it still sounds all sorts of awesome. Kicking off with Matt once again in church confiding in Father Lantom about his guilt, quick flashes were shown of Daredevil in full costume (looking a little redder than when we last saw it), Elektra putting a mask across the lower half of her face, Karen Page looking at a graffitied image of The Punisher's skull logo, and finally Frank Castle himself walking down a hospital corridor with an ominous voiceover consisting of just one word: "Beg." Pretty intriguing, eh? Of course, with still no sign of a trailer for Jessica Jones, it's impossible to say if and when we're going to see this preview online, but fans in attendance apparently went nuts for it. Clearly, it does a good job of teasing what's to come in the highly anticipated second season without spilling any major plot details, and it's easy to appreciate why even just a glimpse of Elektra and The Punisher was so well-received given the excitement surrounding Marvel Studios finally being able to deliver what fans are obviously expecting to be the definitive take on these iconic characters.
