6 Major Daredevil And Jessica Jones Reveals From New York Comic Con

1. Jessica Jones Is A Hit

While fans who attended Marvel and Netflix's panel were expecting to see the first trailer for Jessica Jones, they were instead treated to the entire first episode! There's understandably been some concern that the show simply won't be able to compete with Daredevil due to it not having a costumed hero or a lead who is anywhere near as popular as The Man Without Fear, but those teasers depicting Jessica's superpowers have already pointed to it being something special, and reactions from the screening make it clear that it's a series well worth getting excited about. Collider describe the episode as, "dark, funny, and more adult" than expected, while io9 praise everything from the fact that the show looks aesthetically amazing to it having all the makings of one which you'll feel the need to binge watch the second it hits Netflix. Interestingly, they also add that David Tennant's Killgrave Purple Man is "a truly terrifying villain," with that being established early on, "not by giving him a monologue, but showing the devastating effects he has." IGN meanwhile takes things a step further by claiming that Jessica Jones, "firmly marks the series as the most mature Marvel Cinematic Universe project to date." That apparently includes a ton of swearing - no F-Bombs though - and at least a few sex scenes! Fans have also responded well to the episode if Twitter is any indication, so if you weren't excited about Jessica Jones before, you may want to prepare to be pleasantly surprised come November 20th...
