6 Ups & 3 Downs From The Arrowverse In 2020
5. Crisis On Infinite Earths Lives Up To The Hype
When this writer did up his review of the Arrowverse's 2019 contributions, he commended the first three installments of Crisis On Infinite Earths for kicking off the long-awaited crossover in epic fashion. Yes it was indeed 'So far, so good' for the Crisis, but the question remained if the concluding two parts could live up to the hype and bring it to a close (after a month-long wait)? Thankfully, it did.
Were the final two offerings as good as its predecessors? Probably not, because a dragged out subplot or two, missing characters and senseless post-Crisis logic - that literally did not make sense - undercut it ever-so-slightly, but on all the major fronts, it was a resounding success that paid tribute to the comic books and kicked off the conclusion of Arrow in the process.
All in all, Crisis On Infinite Earths was indeed worth the five-year wait, and the next crossover (whatever it may be) sure has a lot to live up to.
