7. Various: Everything's A Dream, Or In The Protagonist's Mind

I really hate this kind of theory because it's really dumb and easy to write. It's the lowest common denominator when making a story and the only thing this kind of idea does is turning a good story into a predictable, boring "thing." It's so simple that pretty much anyone can do a story like this, for example: The story of Kick-Ass is a dream by Dave while he was lying on the floor after his first attempt at doing a heroic work, he dreamed a world in which he became a superhero and found love before he died. I put no effort on writing that, and yet 90% of all theories are pretty much a variation of the same thing: Whether or not it's Will Smith dying at the hands of the gangsters in The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, the babies in Rugrats being on Angelica's mind or Ed, Edd and Eddy living in the purgatory, they're all the exact same thing. However I felt I needed to at least acknowledge them in case someone asked about either of them in the comments. So here, I made this entry just for you!
