7 Actors Who Should've Won An Emmy But Never Did

4. Connie Britton

Emmy She Should Have Won: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series For Her Role: Tami Taylor on Friday Night Lights Friday Night Lights is an astoundingly impressive show in its warmth, excitement, humour and drama. The show is brilliantly written and has an incredible indie feel about it that differentiates it from a lot of other television. At the front of such a great production is the stellar cast led by Kyle Chandler and, of course, Connie Britton. Chandler has already picked up the Emmy for his performance as Coach Eric Taylor €“ and it's well deserved €“ but Connie Britton as his wife Tami Taylor gives a complimentary performance that's equally deserving of the award. Although nominated four times for an Emmy (twice for Friday Night Lights, once each for American Horror Story and Nashville respectively), she never won it, and it's a real shame because she really gave it her all on the show and made the character her own, giving off warm and sincere vibes in a role she was born to play. For five seasons Britton portrayed one of televisions most likeable and believable Mothers, and her relationship with her daughter and indeed the children at the school where she counselled and became principal was truly remarkable and fascinating. Not to to mention, her portrayal of one half of television's most durable married couples is nothing to sneer at either. Give this woman an Emmy!
